The product

Three screens carry most of the work.

Program: generated from your answers

Answer ten questions about your practice: services, staff, risk factors, compliance officer. LedgerAML generates your AML/CTF program, versions it each time you save and gives you a document to print and adopt.

  • Purpose and scope, designated services, risk assessment
  • Customer due diligence, ongoing monitoring, reporting
  • Record keeping, training, independent review
  • Every save is a new version with its own review date

Clients and KYC, with the risk rating as you type

Record the identity document you sighted, who verified it and when. Built-in rules rate each client low, medium or high risk and set the next review date. Nothing is ever deleted: archived clients stay on file for the 7 years the law requires.

  • Politically exposed persons, cash, third parties, unclear source of funds
  • Beneficial owners for companies and trusts
  • Enhanced due diligence prompts for high-risk clients
Clients screen: onboarding form with risk factors and the client register with risk badges and review dates.

Reports and audit trail that cannot be edited

Log a suspicious matter or a cash transaction over the threshold and the legal deadline starts counting. Every action in the firm is timestamped in an audit trail you can hand to AUSTRAC as a CSV.

  • Suspicious matter reports, threshold transaction reports, annual compliance report summary
  • Staff training module with recorded results, repeated yearly
Reviews screen: everything due in date order with overdue and due-soon status.

Questions people ask

Straight answers, written for a practice, not a bank.

Do accountants and bookkeepers need to comply with AML/CTF laws in Australia?
Yes, if they provide a designated service. From 1 July 2026, accountants, bookkeepers and BAS agents who do things like manage client money, help set up companies or trusts, or assist with buying or selling a business or property are reporting entities under the AML/CTF Act. They must enrol with AUSTRAC, adopt an AML/CTF program, verify client identity, keep records for 7 years and report suspicious matters.
What does LedgerAML actually do?
It gives a small practice one place for each legal obligation: a generated and versioned AML/CTF program, client identification and risk records, review reminders, suspicious matter and threshold transaction logging with deadlines, annual staff training, and a tamper-evident audit trail.
Is LedgerAML legal advice?
No. LedgerAML is software that helps you record and manage your obligations. The program it generates is a template built from your answers; your firm decides whether it fits and adopts it. If you are unsure, get advice from a qualified professional.
How much does it cost?
AU$99.90 per firm per month, including GST, with a 14-day free trial. There is one plan and it includes everything.
Does a sole practitioner need all this?
Yes. The obligations apply to the reporting entity, not to its size. A sole practitioner who provides a designated service needs a program, client due diligence, records and reporting just like a larger firm. The program is simply shorter.

Who is behind it

Built by a small business for small businesses that now answer to AUSTRAC.

LedgerAML is built for accountants, bookkeepers and BAS agents in Australia who became reporting entities on 1 July 2026 and need a practical way to meet the AML/CTF obligations without hiring a compliance consultant.

The product does one thing per legal obligation and nothing else: a program, client records, reviews, reports, training and an audit trail. There is one plan, one price, and every screen was designed so a practice of one to ten people can use it without reading a manual.
